I decided to simplify things and just change my user name her to ImperiumBunny because it is what I use everywhere else. I love MarshmallowSquishy but it wasn't worth re-introducing myself all the time. Hahah! What the title says... Almost done one of this years Animthon cosplays! Kuro Usagi from Problem Children are Coming from Another World, Aren't They?
I am also working on Steampunk Aviator Rosalina(Mario Galaxy) but dyeing my lace has been a nightmare so far. D:

CONTEST QUESTION?

Since I have started hosting contests via 
there has been much less interest. Do you guys prefer me to host them off a journal instead of a group? The only difference is it much easier to organize when it is set in a group.
Is it something else all together? Are the themes not to your liking? Has the timing of the last few contests been bad? Typically I get a minimum of 20 entries for each contest and the last few have had less then 10 and only a few different artists.
So what I am looking for here is some feedback. What would you guys like to see in my contest? Are there particular themes you are hoping for?

A Sailor Moon Valentines couple contest! The goal... you guessed it... draw a couple!
RULES
-You can use any canon characters but they do not have to be a canon couple. Examples: Seiya and Usagi, Rei and Mina
-Must have a minimum of 2 characters, no maximum.
-Must be a Drawing(digital/traditional), Plushie, Sculpture or Cosplay. Visual Representation.
-Entry MUST be completely drawn/created by you. NO TRACES, DOLLS OR PHOTO MANIPS.
-DEADLINE: Feb 15 2013
-You can enter as many times as you like! (however, only one entry per person can place)
-Deviation must have been submitted after today: January 29th
-No Nudity for underage characters.
-To submit your entry simply add it to the Love is in the Air Contest folder in SailorMoonContests!
-Feel free to ask any questions!

AND READ MY DAMN ARTICLE ABOUT COSPLAY. I feel like this needs to be addressed, I have been a victim of almost each category here at some point. It really can put a damper on those just getting into the wonderful world of cosplay! We need to change our harsh judgments!
Let's Love Cosplay and Geeks!

I have found lately that there is a bit of hate going around within the cosplay community. DISLIKE.
Let's say someone doesn't have the time or patients to learn sewing or crafting. So instead they spend hours online shopping for the perfect costume and accessories to represent a fandom they love. Ok, now they have finally found items that satisfy them, whoah… imagine that bill! So no, they haven't spent days upon days shedding tears and blood making it, but damn they still forked out cash and effort! Who cares if they bought their costume? They still probably love the fandom as much as you, sewing just isn't their cup of tea. Let's appreciate their efforts and love of the fandom!
Let's say they did spend days, probably MONTHS sewing and crafting and crying over making this cosplay! DAMN, they are amazing and they earned it! They love the fandom AND sewing! Epic! Let's not be jealous because of this, it's awesome! Let's appreciate their effort and love of the fandom!
Let's say their cosplay is a little revealing. OH GOD, maybe a side boob…under boob… MAYBE EVEN A WHOLE BOOB WITH SOME BODY PAINT?! You know what?! Kudos to them! They are comfortable with their body and we should learn to be as well! I mean really… it's a body… we all have one and they are all a little different. Some of our loved fandom costumes require a little bravery! Let's appreciate their effort and love of the fandom!
Let's say their costume is a little lacking. Ok, maybe it isn't the best. It could be that they didn't have the money or time to make or buy an amazing costume. Maybe, they don't have a huge passion for cosplay; that is ok. Obviously they wanted to dress up and have fun. Us "hardcore cosplays" don't set a required level on dressing up! Kudos to them for doing what they could! It doesn't mean they love that fandom any less! Let's appreciate their effort and love of the fandom!
Let's say they like sewing pretty costumes and having people appreciate their work?! Is that so bad? Not at all! Maybe they aren't the biggest Wonder Woman fan but they appreciate the character and wanted to make the costume! You don't have to be the number one fan just to dress up! I have this shirt that I LOVE, I feel great and look sexy when I wear it! I have no clue who the designer is… but that doesn't mean I don't deserve to wear the shirt. Let's appreciate their effort and love(no matter the level!) of the fandom!
We are all geeks with common interests! Let's not discriminate against any of us! A variety of reasons for cosplay is just fine! I think we have all been discriminated against enough in our lives.
LET'S JUST APPRECIATE ALL LEVELS OF EFFORT FOR COSPLAY AND ALL LEVELS OF LOVE FOR OUR FAVORED FANDOMS. <3
